What’s New in ArcGIS Field Maps (25.3.0 Release)
On September 30, Esri delivered the 25.2.0 release of ArcGIS Field Maps, an off-cycle, mobile-only update that represented a major milestone for the app. Years in the making—and previewed across release articles and Esri events—this update rebuilt Field Maps on a modern code base derived from ArcGIS Maps SDK 200.8, marking a significant evolution of the product.
The 25.2.0 release introduced Tasks, offline Utility Network support, and a wide range of enhancements to map viewing and data capture workflows.

25.3.0 Release: Stability and Quality Improvements
While 25.2.0 delivered substantial new capabilities, some customers experienced stability issues. In response, Esri issued several patch updates to address critical concerns. The 25.3.0 release consolidates these fixes and delivers broad quality and performance improvements across both iOS and Android.
Additional improvements reported through the Esri Community include:
- Fixes for repeated or unexpected sign-in prompts
- Support for opening app links while signed out
- Restored distance units behavior (yards only when explicitly set)
- Display of field values when selecting features from OGC layers
- Automatic upload resumption when reopening the app
- Preservation of EXIF data when browsing or resizing photo attachments
- Improved snapping behavior after map rotation or zoom
- Preventing automatic zoom to a parent feature when adding child features
25.3.1 Release: Final Quality Update of the Year
One more quality-focused release is planned for this year. Following the rollout of 25.3.0, 25.3.1 builds will be made available as soon as they are ready.
Planned highlights include:
- Additional enhancements and bug fixes
- Ability to select text in Info elements on forms
- Promotion of the Collect Here action to the main toolbar
- Performance improvements when browsing maps on Android
- Faster form loading
- Improved popup behavior for aggregated (non-clustered) features
To help validate these updates, Esri encourages users to participate in the ArcGIS Field Maps Early Adopter Program, which provides access to beta builds ahead of general availability. This upcoming beta cycle will be short, so early testing and feedback are especially valuable.
